I want to change, but minimally. I want to be alone, but with others. I want to lay an egg, but not all into one basket. I’d lower my sights into the lap of those, who whisper sweet thoughts into my ears and give me an all-embracing pat. It’s always easier with others, it’s myself that I have troubles with. Our tombstones are all the same, but I want to stand out. Actually, I want to be the nucleus of starmatter floating around in astronomic spaces. And I want to float there with giant chickens or curl up inside a warm and safe shell, where you can hear the breathing of time.
“Free-range eggs” is a post-dramatic production that ignores traditional narrative, born from the collaboration and initiative of three members of the The Department of Drama of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre class of 2020. The production originally premiered in Voyadzer theatre hall on the 11th of August 2021, but in the autumn of the same year Tallinn City Theatre decided to invite this production to its repertoire.
