An exploration on being alone and being lonely in the modern world.

Having been together for a couple of years, Jenny and Elias are now going through a rough patch in their relationship. Days seem to fill up with big and small lies, misunderstandings and hurt feelings. On their way back to New York, after spending thanksgiving with Jenny’s family, the young couple decide to stop in Gettysburg, a place history-loving Elias has always wanted to visit. They stay in a guesthouse run by a lonely older lady. Loneliness is a motif that concerns every character in this play; being alone can be a nightmare, but it can also be something that gives one freedom and peace of mind.
