The story of a man who stood up to Adolf Hitler

In 1931, a young lawyer named Hans Litten questioned Adolf Hitler as a witness regarding the violence and aggressive rhetoric of the Brownshirts. Hitler never forgave him this public humiliation. When the Nazis took power in 1933, Litten was one of many who was arrested in his own home and taken away during the swarm of arrests at the night of the Reichstag building fire.  “Taken at midnight” is a story about how criminals gain power in a cultural European nation and one mother’s tireless fight for his son.
