In a sudden defining moment, young Gorge Mastromas realises that he is now facing the crucial question – should he live his life as a decent human being, basing his decisions on ethics and empathy, or should he consciously choose the path of lying and manipulation, leaving behind a trail of dead bodies?
And if to lie, then how much exactly? And if to leave behind a trail of dead bodies, then how much money and power can one actually pile up from it? It seems that the answer is – a lot. Unfathomably even. Gorge Mastromas decides to risk it. Because what does he have to lose? Or… whom?
The sharp and distinctively written play by Dennis Kelly was published in 2013. Kelly is one of the most successful British dramatists in the present day; his play Love and Money has also been in Tallinn City Theatre’s repertoire.
